ABOUT KAMP

KAMP is an 18+ Queer Play & Social party located in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory. We also run Queer Munch. We serve those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and/or two spirit. We have a complete kinky play space to play in and a lovely social space to connect within! All of our events require guests to be vetted and approved prior to attending.

KAMP is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Learn more about the KAMP Team here, or if you're interested in helping out, learn about volunteer opportunities here!

OUR VALUES

KAMP prioritizes the safety, comfort, enjoyment, and sexual expression of trans and queer kinksters. Queerness is not just sexual orientation; queerness is the intentional and active subversion of heteronormativity, recognizing that heteronormative ideals are rooted in white supremacy, capitalism, ableism, misogyny, classism, and patriarchal power structures.

KAMP is a radically celebratory space, intended for those who are proudly and openly queer*. We are dedicated to providing a space that de-centers the male gaze and cis-heteronormativity.

*while recognizing that being out to family, work, and other spaces is a privilege not afforded to everyone.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you've thoroughly read our FAQs and your question remains unanswered, please contact us!

Can anyone attend KAMP?

All KAMP attendees must be of legal age. You also need to be vetted prior to being allowed to attend. You will be contacted by a KAMP host once vetting is completed. Showing up without being vetted or on the guest lists could result in a temporary or permanent ban.

Vetting closes two days before every event, so be sure to fill out the form before then!

Can I bring a Guest?

No. Non-vetted guests are not permitted. Everyone must be vetted and approved before cut off. No exceptions. Bringing someone who is not vetted or on the guest lists could result in a temporary or permanent ban.

Can I vouch for someone?

No. We do not accept vouching at this time.

Do i need to sign a waiver?

The waiver (our party policies and rules) is now required to be accepted on all KAMP event tickets. For every party you attend, you will need to agree to our policies and rules.

Do I need to bring I.D. with me?

Yes! We require you to bring your ID so that we can verify your name and log your ID number. Many kinksters use pseudonyms and in the unlikely event something were to happen to you, we need to know who you are.

IS KAMP fragArence free?

In an effort to create as accessible a space as possible (many in our community are asthmatic or have allergies to fragrances), we have made the decision to create a fragrance free environment. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes, or using scented products, in the space.

What can I wear? Can I be Nude?

Queer Munch is hosted at a public venue during their regular hours. Please dress in your regular street clothes to attend.

At Play Parties, there is not a specific dress code that folx must follow (though we do ask that all attendees refrain from wearing items of clothing that are associated with police). Wear what makes you feel the best for the evening, or dress according to the theme! If you decide to be nude or in kink gear, please also bring clothes to cover up while outside or at the door, and a barrier to sit on (such as a towel or blanket). Underwear must also be worn while in the aftercare area.

Is Alcohol allowed At KAMP?

No. Our play parties are dry events. Illicit drugs, marijuana, alcohol, and other substances (including poppers) will not be tolerated. We provide bottled water for your convenience. You can bring your own nonalcoholic beverages, our strong preference would be in a resealable container. If you are intoxicated at our events, you will be asked to leave and your future membership may be rescinded.

are there playspace rules?

Our venue is accessible to wheelchairs & other mobility aides. Within our venue, you will find a social space with ample seating; a area for snacks & water; a play space that is separated from the social space; a separate, quiet aftercare space; & an area for party pictures. No photos are to be taken without the knowledge of the party hosts outside of this space).

There is ample parking at this venue. It is also close to transit.

If you have any questions about the space please reach out

What if I don't want to do any scenes?

You'll never be obligated to participate! We strongly believe in ENTHUSIASTIC consent. If someone is harassing you for play or any other reason, please inform one of the KAMP Counsellors as soon as possible.

How do I get someone to play with me?

No one is under any obligation to play with anyone else. Connecting with folx and scheduling your scenes ahead of time is always recommended. We post a pick-up play discussion thread via our Fetlife profile in the weeks prior to each party. There is also have a space to add pick-up play "Post It's" at the venue!

We actually recommend planning not to play if you've never been to a kink party before, to get a sense of what it's like. Then, you'll be ready at your next one!

Are there playspace monitors?

No. At this time, we do not have any dedicated play space monitors. We expect that if you are playing, you are doing so within your own limits, respecting for your scene partners and fellow partygoers, and holding yourself accountable for your actions. We do have identifiable folx (KAMP Counsellors, wearing orange armbands) who are able to step forward and assist with any concerns. However, they will not be actively monitoring play.

COVID-19

We are following AHS recommendations and will continue to do so. Hand sanitizer will be available in abundance. Equipment is wiped down in between uses. We ask that you stay home if you are showing signs of illness, and to mask if needed.
