KAMP acknowledges that we are situated in the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in "Southern Alberta": the homeland of the Blackfoot Nations (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, the Iyarhe Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations), and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Battle River Territory, Calgary Elbow Métis District 6. We want to honour and respect these nations, their living history, and the land that they have cared for since time immemorial.
